Crystallized Gold
El Álamo district, Baja California, México
This stunning gold crystal hails from an exceptionally rare and little-known location, adding to its extraordinary appeal. Its distinctiveness is further enhanced by the sharp, well-defined crystallization, a feature seldom found in gold specimens from Mexico. The front side showcases thick dendritic branches of native gold that overlap and intersect, creating a striking visual. On the reverse side, spinel twin crystal habits are visible, with elongated clusters of native gold crystals intergrown together. The overall form is highly aesthetic, with complete crystallization all around. The native gold exhibits a rich, buttery yellow hue and a brilliant luster. This specimen is a remarkable representation of gold from its unique locality.
