Crystallized Gold
El Álamo district, Baja California, México
This stunning gold crystal hails from an exceptionally rare and lesser known location. Its uniqueness is further enhanced by its sharp, well-defined crystallization, a feature seldom found in gold specimens from Mexico. The front side showcases thick dendritic branches of native gold that overlap and intersect, creating a striking visual effect. On the reverse side, spinel twin crystal habits are visible, with elongated clusters of native gold crystals intergrown together. The specimen's overall form is highly aesthetic, fully crystallized on all sides. The native gold exhibits a rich, buttery yellow hue with excellent luster. This piece is a remarkable representation of gold from its unique locality.
