Crystallized Gold
El Álamo district, Baja California, México
This dramatic gold crystal originated from a very rare locality and often unheard of. What adds to its uniqueness are the sharp well defined crystallization which is rarely seen with gold specimens from Mexico. The crystal morphology on the front side developed slightly dendritic branches of native gold overlapping and intersecting one another. Its reverse side displays spinel twin crystal habits with clustered elongated native gold crystal clusters intergrown. Its overall shape is very aesthetic and crystalized all around. The native gold crystal is a rich buttery yellow color with good luster. This gold specimen is a great representation from its locality.
