BERYL var. AQUAMARINE from Conselheiro Pena pegmatite district, Minas Gerais, Brazil
 
This rare and large aquamarine crystal displays a saturated aqua blue green color with great transparency near its tip. Only older pieces from my perspective display this richness of color and parallel growth patters on its side. The two smaller crystals on its side are also very rich in color and transparent with undamaged tips. The crystal also had a fourth crystal growth but was broken off most likely when it was pulled out of the pocket in the early 1970's. The tops of all other crystals are perfect with no damage and interesting striations and crystallized patterns. This rare example also displays a doubly terminated bottom with thousands of pristine flat crystal faces and etched patterns on complex crystallization. Both the size, color, and luster of this inscribable crystal is far in between and rarely available to collectors.
