An unusual albeit alluring presentation, this mass of the Brenham Meteorite has been fashioned into a partial geometric form with the end cut featuring multiple cut and polished faces as well as numerous, natural rough surfaces. The contrast of the striking golden Olivine crystals, against the reflective metal mirror-like background is sublime. Some tiny holes are visible where smaller crystals have eroded from the piece, but the impact of the multiple large golden patches on the silvery form is spectacular and so hard to resist. Weighing nearly 500 grams, this pallasite found in Kansas in 1882 is very intriguing. This specimen sits securely without need of any base and is sure to stimulate conversation in a display case.
