Colorado Quartz Mine
Mariposa, CA.
This highly crystallized and reflective specimen is extremely rare to find with so many complex gold crystals forming a large single solid gold crystal. This beautiful gold specimen has such outstanding beauty that it could be on a front page of a mineral magazine or poster. The crystal gold displays triangular crystals growing from the large reflective gold surface on one side and the other also displays intricate and complex crystal growth with a highly reflective flat gold crystal face. The uniqueness about this piece is that it can be displayed on both sides and you can enjoy one side as much as the other. The photos just don't do justice for this magnificent specimen. Physical examination turns this mineral specimen into a mesmerizing, eye catching, and extremely interesting native mineral. This gold crystal is thought to have grown inside a quartz vugg that was big enough and with the right temperature and pressure to form such a mesmerizing beauty that we now have here.
