This rare native gold crystal is from one of California’s most well-known gold mine. The Colorado Quartz Mine produced and sometimes still produces the best examples of world class crystallized gold specimens. This native gold displays a maze of complex interconnecting angular crystal faces with flat lustrous faces. The gold specimen also exhibits smaller shorter crystals branching out with complex striations on its surface. The color is a saturated bright yellow with great luster overall. The specimen can also be displayed on both sides with equal beauty.
