This highly aesthetic gold crystal showcases perfectly crystallized, robust, flat gold crystals in a unique striated growth. The gold crystal habits are exceptional, representing some of the finest crystallized gold featuring mirror like octahedral crystals peppered on its surface with mirror like reflective faces. The intense well crystallized specimen is similar to a gem and very few crystals develop incredible aesthetics such as this example. The combination of well-defined crystals, high luster, and a saturated yellow color is increasingly rare. On its reverse side the native gold developed a flat surface with triangular indents called trigons spread throughout the reverse side. This specimen is a prime example of rare gold from a locality that no longer produces pristine crystallized gold.
