Crystal Leaf Gold Modified Flat Spinel Twin

This beautiful example of native gold crystal displays robust angular crystals which have formed into a flat modified spinel twin crystal. Some crystal faces are highly lustrous with complex leaf crystal habits. There are secondary leaf crystal growth overlapping the main crystal on one side. The reverse side displays a large single modified trigon crystal protruding from the leaf surface of the native gold. Crystallized gold from this locality are very rare and not often available to mineral collectors.
