Crystalized Gold with Sharp Elongated Wires on Quartz

This impressive crystallized gold specimen displays sharp wires of native gold that developed into a modified spinel twin crystal habit. Each individual crystal has striations and sharp edges. The top portion developed into modified flat octahedral with a rough crystalline surface. The gold runs through the quartz with a perfect balance of crystallized gold and milky white quartz matrix. The unfortunate reality is no more specimens will be produced from this unusual unique locality.
