This incredible specimen displays complex leaf crystals of native gold. The color is a vibrant yellow hue and displays great luster. The matrix is jasper which is weathered with areas of white quartz and is a rare occurrence for native gold. Native gold from Coulterville is rare and this example is a fine specimen from a historic California gold rush locality.
