Crystalline Gold in Quartz

This beautiful gold specimen was discovered in a pocket of gold rich quartz vein using a metal detector. The gold is thick and crystalline throughout with leaf growth in some areas. The gold is buttery yellow color with a milky white quartz matrix. We believe the gold specimen originated from Nevada County in Northern California.
