Crystalline Gold

North-Eastern Victoria, Australia (near Rutherglen)

This is an older example of a rare gold specimen found in the mid-1980s near the town of Rutherglen, North-Eastern Victoria. This highly aesthetic crystalline gold exhibits branching out crystals near its bottom similar to a root of a tree with a sharply developed point on its opposite northern end and well developed reflective crystal habits thorough. The gold is very high in purity and saturation of intense color. This locality is now a national park and no prospecting, or any new minerals will be available to mineral collectors.
