This beautiful native gold specimen displays an impressive concentration of tightly intergrown microcrystals forming a solid, sponge like mass with a superb natural luster. Its gold is notably thick and substantial, with numerous short, sturdy branches radiating in different directions. Smaller secondary crystals cover portions of the surface, adding a striking gem sparkle and enhancing the specimen’s overall visual appeal. Viewed under magnification, the gold reveals a complex network of crystalline growth with remarkable texture, depth, and three-dimensional character. From a historic mine that has since closed, this specimen is an excellent representation of the distinctive gold specimens once produced from this renowned locality.
