Crystallized Gold Leaf on Quartz 
Oriental Mine, Alleghany District, Sierra County, California 
This  rare specimen from the Donald Dickey collection displays sharp angular bright crystal faces. The native gold travels through the quartz in some areas. The front exhibits a very bright dendritic cluster of leaf gold with smaller crystals displayed throughout the white quartz matrix. The pure white quartz matrix is a perfect combination to the native gold and adds to its attractiveness. No new specimens will be produced from this historical mine now unfortunately.
