This beautiful native gold specimen showcases a fascinating crystal structure combined with attractive natural aesthetics. The gold forms an almost dendritic arrangement, featuring slightly elongated, thick crystal branches that grow spread out from the main crystal. Each branch displays geometric crystal forms with slightly flattened tips, giving the specimen a distinctive and balanced appearance. The reverse side presents a textured surface covered with layered native gold microcrystals, where overlapping and crossing growth patterns add complexity and detail.
At the base, a large trigon crystal representing a modified octahedral form stands out prominently, while smaller modified octahedral crystals extend from the sides. Collected from a locality that is no longer in production, this specimen is an excellent and increasingly uncommon example of crystallized native gold.
