Crystallized Gold on Quartz

An exquisite sample of gold with quartz can be observed protruding from a white quartz matrix that is stained with iron. The native gold stands tall and features remarkable branching of crystallized gold in multiple directions. The sides of the gold display smaller crystal growths, while the clusters of native gold appear almost wire-like with some areas boasting sharp and lustrous faces. The white quartz matrix has a reddish hue at the top, which is a result of natural hydrothermal deposition causing iron staining.
