The Colorado Quartz Mine is world famous amongst mineral collectors and produces one of the better crystallized gold specimens of any locality. This rare specimen is a unique example of elongated lustrous dendritic native gold crystals on oxidized quartz matrix. The gold specimen is complex with branches of octahedral crystals with lustrous faces. The gold crystals are visible on all sides of the matrix and displayable on both sides.
