Crystallized Gold on Quartz

This very aesthetic native gold specimen displays incredibly well crystallized gold majestically formed in very white quartz pockets. The gold is mostly spongey with short thick concentration of native gold with some being quite lustrous and overlapping formations. The gold is displayed on all sides of the quartz matrix. Upon closer examination the gold crystallography of the gold display small voids and thin plates of native gold crystal which gives it its spongy texture. Its quartz rock matrix is incredibly white and adds to its wonderful aesthetics. The darker matrix is a composition of arsenopyrite infused in quartz which are small veinlets of quartz and in between is arsenopyrite. The specimen can be displayed on either side and displays even beauty. It’s a perfect contrast with the white quartz makes this native gold specimen very desirable. This mine no longer produces gold specimens and is currently closed.
