This extraordinary gold specimen, discovered in the arid Sonora Desert, is a highly rare locality find, often elusive for collectors. Unearthed by a local prospector in a rich quartz vein embedded with gold crystals, this specimen boasts an exceptionally high gold purity of 94-96%. Its crystal faces exhibit an interesting luster with complex clusters of buttery yellow, robust crystals incasing the quartz on matrix. The opposite side features the large quartz center with branching high-purity short native gold surrounding its edges of the quartz matrix. This specimen is a rare example of high purity natural gold, found in only a handful of places on Earth.
