Crystallized Gold on Reddish-Pink Quartz Matrix

This rare example of native gold displays thick angular sharp crystals which terminate out from the red-pink quartz matrix. Seeing this color of quartz with usually rare crystallization habits such as this example are few in between in nature. The gold is a rich saturation of yellow metal which also displays great luster and pops out of the quartz matrix. This natural native gold specimen is a perfect example of rare gold from the historically gold rich town of Georgetown California.
