Crystallized Gold with Quartz

This native gold crystal displays robust thick crystals and unique and highly aesthetic crystal morphology. The gold crystals are a bright yellow hue unique to gold found in Mariposa County. The golds unique crystals exhibit many flat large, elongated branching crystals that are angular and geometric in shape. In some areas in between that larger crystals are clustered micro crystals which in specific areas also grow off the larger crystals as a secondary growth. The incredible aesthetic aspect of this specimen is that it looks very similar to sea coral with its beautiful geometric patterns and slightly dendritic growth. In a couple areas there are white quartz attached to the main gold crystals which adds a natural aspect to the specimen. This gold specimen is a great representation for its locality.
