Crystallized Gold with Quartz 
Folsom Mining District, California
The gold specimen here displays thick angular gold crystals with lustrous flat faces. The gold is in matrix with white quartz and limonite which bring out its natural aesthetics. In some areas the gold has developed into a spinel twin reverse hollow cube crystals with small modified octahedral crystals. The blocky crystal habits and lustrous crystal faces is a rare example for its locality.
