Crystallized Native Gold on Lead Arsenic Matrix

This highly desired gold specimen displays a fine assortment of multi crystallized gold crystals which really brings out in uniqueness. On the front of the specimen a large plate of Native gold crystal displays great luster with angular almost cubed crystals. There are also crystals of native gold which display modified octahedral crystals which seem to have a naturally etched surface. Small to large octahedral crystals are visible throughout the specimen with some growing on the surface of native gold leaf crystals. The distinctive gold in incased inside a mostly dark matrix consisting of lead and arsenic. The native gold specimen is a unique and rare three dimensional crystal. This specimen is a prime example of native gold from the Placerville district.
