Leaf Gold Specimen

This extraordinary gold specimen is composed of a tick single crystal modified wire with curved striations and sharp crystals. The native gold crystal displays three-dimensional modified leaf habits and small branches of dendritic crystals on the side of the main wire crystal. This gold specimen is a fine example of complex leaf gold like no other from this locality. Natural gold with heavy striations of crystal habits is very rare from this California locality and no new specimens are produced from this find.
