Crystalline Gold 
Kalgoorlie, Western Australia
The Kalgoorlie region in Western Australia is known for rounded nuggets. However, crystalline gold is not common at all in this region and is very rare and hard to find. The Australians usually refer to this type of gold as reef gold where it once came out of its quartz host rock. The gold specimen displays exquisite miniature crystals that are well defined. The top of the native gold is slightly rounded, while the rest of the specimen is well crystalline. This gold specimen is a prime example of ultra-rare gold from Western Australia.
