On the surface of the gold crystals, we can see small, stepped growth patterns on the surface of the crystals. Its crystal structure is incredibly complex with intergrown clusters of near perfect octahedral and cubic crystal habits. Usually, the gold from this locality is known to have thinner dendritic crystals while some are found with thicker crystal like this example are very rare. Every side of and section of the gold crystal displays beautifully and can be displayed on either side. This specimen is a prime example for its locality.
