This extraordinary gold nuggets discovered in the arid Sonora Desert is an exceptionally rare locality specimen, often elusive to collectors. It was unearthed by a local indigenous person in an ancient tertiary gold-bearing channel. The nugget's surface exhibits a brilliant luster, showcasing smooth faces alongside rugged and robust areas. The gold nugget displays a reddish tone, this is due to a very thin layer of iron oxide that formed on gold nugget surface. On the reverse side, it displays naturally smooth surfaces with similar luster and rugged exterior. Overall, this gold specimen is a solid chunk with a rich, reddish buttery yellow hue.
