This remarkable gold nugget, found in the arid Sonora Desert, is a rare mineral specimen that is usually out of reach for collectors. A local prospector unearthed it in an ancient tertiary gold-bearing riverbed. The nugget has a striking luster, with some areas displaying smooth faces while other parts are rugged and robust. The opposite side also features smooth natural surfaces with a similar luster. Overall, this gold piece is a solid chunk with a rich, buttery yellow color.
