Gold on Quartz
16 to 1 Mine
Alleghany Mining District, Sierra County, California
Rarely encountered from this historic locality, this specimen displays thick, branching crystalline gold with abundant microcrystals forming across its surface. The secondary crystal growth creates a highly textured surface with excellent natural luster and a sparkling appearance that changes as the specimen is viewed from different angles. The rich golden color stands out beautifully against the bright white quartz matrix, creating a striking and highly collectible presentation.
