Crystalline SIlver on White Calcite
Bouismas Mine, Agdz, Bou Azzer mining district, Zagora Province, Drâa-Tafilalet Region, Morocco
This large specimen of native silver displays crystallized silver spread through the calcite matrix. There are more rich silver veins on the bottom of the specimen which are hard to see from the photo. The silver is crystalline due to multiple crystals growing in between and overlapping to form thick veins of crystallized growth which cover most of the white calcite surface. The specimen is very heavy for its size and composed of a large amount of native silver still hiding inside the calcite matrix. Additionally this specimen will be a great addition to any mineral collection due to its large size and aesthetics.
