Leaf Gold (variety Electrum) with Calcite Matrix

A rare specimen from Nevada exhibits large leaf gold crystals with high luster growing from the matrix like seaweed. The gold crystals are thin like plates of gold leaves with complex crystallography on its native gold surface. The gold looks very much similar to coral or seaweed growing from a rock. This highly aesthetic specimen is a prime example of native gold from Nevada.
