Found in the Sahara Desert little was known about the Taza meteorite in the early days. Today, it's rarely available to buy. This meteorite has platinum group metals and more gold concentration than any other typical iron meteorite. Meteorites like this one may have delivered our gold, silver, and platinum metals to our planet when the earth was forming 4.5 billion years ago. The origin of where this meteorite came from is in the asteroid belt between Jupiter and Mars. This specimen catches your eye when shined under the light you begin to see the different metal crystal structures dancing under the light. This is typical of the Taza diamond-like metal crystalline structure.
