Native Gold Crystal
El Dorado County, California
This sharp gold crystal displays an attractive shape and saturated color. The native gold has great luster and exhibits small octahedral and cubed gold crystals formed in a twin habit. On the reverse side the gold has hoppered gold crystal habits. Gold crystals with this crystal morphology are rare and this specimen was found in one small a small pocked of gold crystals.
