Native Gold Crystals on Native Arsenic Lead Matrix

This unusual mix of native minerals makes this specimen a highly unusual and rare native gold specimen never before seen from this locality. The gold crystals are crystalline complex mesh with some being crystallized octahedral sharply defined crystals. The gold is incased in a mix of lead and arsenic metal which is the darker matrix and usually is not found together with gold from the Placerville locality. The color of the gold crystals are an intense yellow saturation and high luster with fairly high purity of gold. This is truly a unequaled gold specimen from its locality.
