Native Gold on Quartz

This native gold specimen displays mostly complex sponge like textured surface with short leafy crystals. In some areas the gold developed striations and vertical gold strands. The gold specimen is mostly composed of clusters which were grown on top of each other in multilayer fashion creating a single robust specimen. Its color is a saturated buttery yellow color with leafy crystals exhibiting good luster on its surface. The white quartz on its side provides a natural contrast to its already appealing character. Both sides are aesthetically appealing and a uniquely shaped gold specimen.
