Native Gold on Quartz 
El Dorado County, California
This is a classic example of native gold on quartz from a famous gold rush town in California. The gold is very robust and displayed throughout the quartz matrix clearly visible on all sides. Its native gold crystals are thick and plate like with multiple sections running tough the quartz. The native meat exhibits a rich buttery yellow color with some great lustrous faces. The crystal morphology of the gold display sections of branching leaf crystals which create a maze formation and within the pockets of native gold crystals are more quartz visible. This specimen is a perfect representation of rich gold in quartz mineral from the famous El Dorado County.
