Pah Rah Range, Washoe County, Nevada, USAThis impressive gold specimen exabits a rich saturation of incredibly bright yellow crystals with a very high sparkle effect from its lustrous crystal faces. Its crystals are very complex ad overlapping in many growth patterns which including some being wires with pointy tips and others being flat wire crystals with lustrous faces. Every section of the gold sparkles with brilliance just like a beautiful gem and jampacked with thousands of wires crystals. The wire gold is attached to a white calcite matrix which is incased in the thick layers of wired native gold. On the back side the crystals have developed into thicker and larger wires clearly displayed on its middle section. Gold from the Olinghouse mine is very rare to acquire because no new specimens are being produced and this specimen is a prime example.
