Native Silver Crystals on Calcite Matrix
Bouismas Mine, Bou Azzer, Morocco

Here is a very rare and beautiful large native silver crystal on a Calcite matrix specimen. The silver crystals are distributed mostly on the top portion of the calcite matrix with very rare cubic crystals growth formed as spinel twin dendritic crystallography, making it highly collectible. In order to form cubed crystals immense amount of pressure and perfect temperature are required to align each silver atom in such a way to develop a cube. What's even more difficult to find are the cubes forming a stacked growth and complex and sharp dendritic branching out from its calcite host matrix. The crystals have a good luster and sharply defined growth as some crystals display pointed edges similar to thick needles. This is one of the best examples of native silver from the Sahara Desert in Morocco, Northwest African continent.
