Native Wire Gold Hoppered Crystal

This incredible native gold crystal displays sharp striations of hoppered gold crystals. The gold grew in layers of short leaf habits with some have morphed into a stepped or hoppered crystal formation. The crystal is an elongated wire with complex shorter wires growing from its sides. The gold crystal is very intriguing and the more you look at it the more interesting its crystallography becomes. Gold of this crystallography is quite rare and much rarer being from the El Dorado locality in Northern California.
