Octahedral Gold Crystal

This incredible gold crystal is a complex three dimensional octahedral gold crystal with two crystals stacked on top of one another. The gold crystal in both a collectable mineral specimen and great for scientific study. It’s coated with a very thin layer of iron oxide completely covering the gold crystal turning it a slightly darker color then the normal buttery yellow color. Many sections on the gold crystal exhibit hoppered or chevron crystals with incredibly sharp well defined edges. Gold crystals are very rare and this example is a great representation of its locality.
