Sharp and Angular Native Silver Crystals on Calcite Matrix
Bouismas Mine, Bou Azzer mining district, Drâa-Tafilalet Region, Morocco
Here is a striking example of native silver from the Bouismas Mine. The specimen is packed with rare sharp silver crystals that show on all sides of the white calcite matrix. The largest singular and complete native silver crystal is about 14 inches in length which covers a majority of the whole specimen's length. Specimens like this example are incredibly rare to come by as the quality of this type has depleted. luckily this specimen was preserved and was part of an older collection mined in mid 2008 when the mines discovery was still fairly new.
