Hoppered Octahedron Spinal Twinned Gold Crystal

This very rare specimen of native gold crystal displays well defined spinal twinned crystals on the outside and the interior displays modified cubed octahedron crystals which are quite rare. The specimen is lustrous with a buttery yellow color. Specimens of this asthetics were exhibited in the Royal Ontario Museum and this example is an older find (1980's) from Hunker Creek.
