Thick Wire Gold Nugget

This remarkable gold nugget is a modified spinel wire gold crystal with slightly worn edges. The gold crystal displays thick striations on all sides of the specimen. On the lower end of the crystal, it begins to widen and spread out into a three-dimensional leaf. Every side of the specimen exhibits clusters of leafy gold crystals which fuse together to form a thick wire on its upper end. The gold is a bright yellow color with some areas showing bright lustrous crystal faces.
