The overall crystal habit is dominated by a network of wire-like structures that twist, overlap, and intersect in an elaborate arrangement. Each crystal is well-defined, many ending in sharp points, with a few gently extending outward in delicate branches. The piece boasts a bright, buttery-yellow hue and a strong metallic luster that enhances its visual appeal. Specimens from the Belshazar Mine are exceptionally uncommon, and when discovered, they frequently exhibit this rare wire-like crystal growth. Wire gold is among the scarcest crystal forms found in nature, with only a limited number of localities worldwide known to produce it.
