This remarkable gold specimen features complex, overlapping, sponge like texture of native gold with micro crystals growing on top. This micro crystal makes the gold specimen sparkle and adds a great amount of luster to its aesthetics. Such a specimen is extremely rare, especially since the Manhattan Mine is no longer operational. The gold crystal clusters are visible from all sides with a small amount of quartz on matrix. The specimen is dense and exhibits a buttery yellow color, while most crystals from this locality are a pale yellow. This gold specimen represents an outstanding example from this locality.
