Wire Gold Specimen

This extraordinary gold specimen is composed of a tick single crystal modified wire with curved striations and sharp crystals. The native gold crystal displays angular sharp tip and small branches of dendritic crystals on all sides. This gold specimen is a fine example of complex three-dimensional wire gold which each branch of gold splits from the main spine. Natural gold with shredded crystal and some octahedral habits is very rare for a California locality and no new specimens are produced from this find.
