Wire Gold Specimen

This extraordinary gold specimen is composed of a tick wire crystal in a three-dimensional growth pattern. The crystals are all interconnected with small quartz attached throughout the wire gold surface. The gold displays great luster and very good color saturation of buttery yellow. The native gold crystal displays angular sharp tip and small branches of dendritic crystals on all sides. This gold specimen is a fine example of complex three-dimensional wire gold which each branch of gold splits from the main spine. Natural gold with such wire habits is very rare for a California locality and no new specimens will be produced from this find.
