Wire Gold Specimen

This extraordinary gold specimen is composed of a tick single crystal modified wire with curved striations and sharp crystals. The native gold crystal displays angular habits and small branches of dendritic crystals on the side of the main wire crystal. This gold specimen is a fine example of complex three-dimensional wire gold. Natural gold with shredded crystal habits is very rare for a California locality and no new specimens are produced from this find.
