Wire Gold Spinel Twin Crystal

The very aesthetics wire gold specimen displays curved twin wire crystals branching out from both sides of the main center wire crystal. Gold in this grown habit is very rare from this locality and this specimen displays its best example of wire gold from El Dorado County. The gold of each wire clearly displays striations along the surface which shows the show and complex growth this crystal grew into. The center wire crystal flattens out into a complex leaf crystal at its tip. The color is a rich saturation of yellow hue and very good luster.
